Will the sun be shining on your Thanksgiving meal this year?

It’s not likely, according to projections. And that’s not just because the sun will set in the Harrisburg area around 4:43 p.m. on Nov. 27.

The Old Farmer’s Almanac predicts that much of the United States will have rain and clouds on Thanksgiving Day.

While the Northeast may be exempt from that prediction, AccuWeather’s forecast for Thanksgiving says we’ll have “times of clouds and sun with a passing shower."

The high is expected to be around 54 degrees and the low will be close to 40 degrees, with a 55 percent chance of precipitation.

The Weather Channel’s forecast for Thanksgiving is even less sunny, with a projected high of 48 degrees and a low of 33.
