John McGinn will be playing at the World Cup after Scotland qualified for next summer’s tournament with a dramatic win over Denmark.

Aston Villa captain McGinn started the game and played its entirety as Steve Clarke’s side scored two late goals to book their plane to America.

Scott McTominay opened the scoring with a remarkable overhead kick, but Scotland were twice pegged back by their Danish counterparts on the night.

With the score locked at 2-2 going into added time, Kieran Tierney curled the ball into the far corner from the edge of the box to put the Tartan Army ahead for a third time at Hampden Park, before Kenny McLean sealed the victory.
