Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, Wynne Evans, has revealed he was rushed to hospital last year after attempting to take his own life.

The opera singer shared how he 'ended up in hospital' after attempting suicide, following various scandals which occurred on the BBC dancing show.

Wynne, 53, who is famously known for his role in the Go Compare insurance adverts, took part in the famous competition last year, alongside co-star, Katya Jones.

However, the star made headlines for various reasons, with one particular incident seeing Katya moving Wynne's hand away from her waist and declining to high five him on air.

Later, the pair explained the situation had been a joke to see whether those watching would notice, the Mirror reported.
