Strictly Come Dancing star Wynne Evans has spoken about attempting to take his life following scandals on the hit BBC show. The 53 year old was embroiled in a series of controversies on his time on the programme where he was partnered with professional dancer Katya Jones. ‌

Wynne, famed for his character Gio Compario in the Go Compare TV advert, was dropped by the BBC after using 'inappropriate language' during the launch of the Strictly tour. This came after his partner Katya was seen moving his hand away from her waist and refusing to high five him on air. ‌

Wynne, 53, also said he used the term 'spit-roast' - which refers to a lewd sexual act - as a nickname for his co-star Jamie Borthwick. ‌
