Brits are said to be putting off getting red flag cancer symptoms checked out due to a lack of GP appointments.

With over 200 types of cancer, people are being urged to get checked out as many of these cancers have their own specific symptoms.

However, a new poll of 6,844 Brits by Cancer Research UK has highlighted a worrying statistic that GP problems are the main reason people ignored signs which could be cancer.

Those who took part in the poll cited the top reason for not getting checked out would be due to a difficulty of getting an appointment (53 per cent).

This statistic was followed by attempting to get an appointment and finding it difficulty to secure an appointment (47 per cent).
