The newest Hamblen County school has been recognized again for a state award.
Since moving into its new facility in January, Lincoln Heights Elementary has been recognized for using solar energy and for its construction as one of the first solar-powered schools in the state.
During its Annual Convention last week, the Tennessee School Board Association recognized architectural firms for excellence in design by presenting the TSBA School of the Year Awards. Awards were presented in five categories: New Construction for elementary, middle and high schools, Renovation, and the People’s Choice award, which was selected by TSBA members.
