(Sioux Falls, SD) — President Trump is pardoning the convicted former owner of a South Dakota nursing home company. Joseph Schwartz owned a company that acquired Golden Living Centers in January of 2017 and later pleaded guilty to charges that he failed to pay employment taxes. Prosecutors say that he — instead — put 38-million dollars into his own pocket. Schwartz was ordered earlier this year to serve three years in prison but has now been granted a full and unconditional pardon by the president.
