(Washington DC) — In Washington, the House and Senate on Tuesday gave their approval to a bill calling on the Justice Department to release files related to deceased convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The Senate’s approval of the bill — and without any changes from the its form in the House — put Senate Majority Leader and South Dakota Senator John Thune at odds with the Speaker Mike Johnson. Johnson had said he had hoped the Senate would amend the bill but Thune said it was sufficient as is. The bill now goes to President Trump.
