MADISON, Wis. -- Two people were arrested Tuesday night after a gun was fired inside an apartment, according to the Madison Police Department.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired Tuesday at 10:32 p.m. Officers were notified a gunshot was heard inside an apartment complex and a projectile had entered an occupied, adjacent apartment near Midtown Commons Park. Police said no injuries were reported or found at the scene.

Police contacted and detained several people including two people found in a nearby vehicle. One person was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and obstructing a police officer. Another was arrested for endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon and obstructing a police officer. Two handguns were located and seized as evidence related to the investigatio
