The National Transportation Safety Board’s investigation is now revealing that a loose wire was the root cause of the deadly 2024 collision of the cargo ship, Dali, into the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland. The investigation shows that when the loose wire slipped out, it knocked out power, including propulsion and steering. causing the ship to slam into the bridge where 7 men were working. Six of them died after falling into the river. NBC’s Aaron Gilchrist reports for TODAY.
