Coronation Street star Sue Devaney is among those responding to the exit of one of their cast members as they sent a 'bye bye' message following their last day filming.

It may not come as a surprise to some that Daniel Brocklebank will be bowing out of the ITV soap, in scenes to air in 2026, as Billy Mayhew after he announced the move earlier this year.

The actor said in a statement in May: "I have been working on Corrie for a quarter of my life. I have adored every minute I have been in that building and have never not looked forward to going into work.

"I love everyone who works on this show and whilst I am sad to be going, I am equally excited to see what the future holds."
