SRINAGAR : Jammu Kashmir Police have seized seven tippers, dumpers and two JCB machines involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in Awantipora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Follow Us On G -N e w s | Whatsapp

A team from Police Station Awantipora, led by the SHO and assisted by the Incharge of Police Post Reshipora under the supervision of SDPO Awantipora, carried out the operation in Renzipora. The vehicles were found engaged in unauthorised mining activities.

An FIR (No. 254/2025) has been registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Awantipora, and investigations are ongoing.

Police have urged the public to cooperate in combating illegal mining and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station
