The Alert Ready Emergency Alert System is running a nation-wide test today.
Most tests throughout the country will be running at 1:55 p.m. local time, including in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Quebec, Nova Scotia, the Northwest Territories and Yukon.
Ontario and Prince Edward Island will be testing at 12: 55 p.m. local time, Newfoundland and Labrador ran their test at 10:45 a.m., and Nunavut is set to run at 2 local time.
The test will involve emergency alerts over the radio, television and any LTE-connected wireless device. A tone will play over all devices, with devices with video capabilities displaying a visual cue if available with local authorities.
A third party is conducting a short survey about the test, approved by Alert Ready. If you wish to participate
