After thunderstorms earlier in the week, Louisville will see more rain coming to the metro area starting Nov. 20, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service in Louisville.

Though there's a small chance of drizzle Nov. 19, rain will move back into the area Nov. 20, continuing through Nov. 22, with roughly 1-2 inches of total rainfall expected, NWS Louisville meteorologist Mark Jarvis said. Jarvis said flooding is not expected as “the ground is not saturated enough to do that.”

“I can’t rule out some rumbles of thunder during the day on Friday, but this system does not have any of the characteristics of the previous one,” he said. “Most of it’s going to be just light to moderate rain at most times.”
