New York State Police said two people were found dead from gunshot wounds Nov. 11 in a home in the Town of Shandaken.
State police did not release the information until Nov. 17.
According to state police, troopers from the Kingston barracks responded just before 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11 to a report that the two people were unconscious and unresponsive at the home on Highview Road.
When the troopers and officers from the Town of Shandaken Police Department entered the home, they found two people dead from gunshot wounds in a bedroom: Deborah A. Warren, 68, and Mark P. Braman, 69, both of Phoenicia.
Braman's wound appeared to be self-inflicted.
State police did not say whether Warren or Braman lived in the home, nor did they say what relationship, if any, they had with each other.
