Two women have appeared in court in connection with the death of a missing dad whose body was found in a field in Kilmacolm. ‌

Robert Best's body was discovered by cops at around 9.20am on Tuesday, November 11, in a field near High Mathernock Farm in the Inverclyde town . ‌

The 50-year-old had been reported missing from Greenock on the same day. ‌

Dorothy Shields, 64, and Nicola Brisland (Campbell), 41, of Port Glasgow have appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court on Wednesday, November 12, charged with attempting to defeat the ends of justice.

Both made no plea and were committed for further examination and have been granted bail.
