Brits have been hit with snow and freezing temperatures but a weather expert has revealed this won't be it - with more expected to fall.

People across the country are preparing for several inches of snow , with some flurries already falling this morning.

Weather maps have showed temperatures across the UK have dropped as low as -9C while blizzard-like conditions creep across the country, even before the official start of winter .

Snow has already fallen, as Arctic air from the north has moved down, with even more freezing flurries expected on Thursday, according to the Met Office .
