The Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback will make his first NFL start in Week 12 against the Las Vegas Raiders, head coach Kevin Stefanski announced Wednesday .

Fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel remains in concussion protocol after taking a hit last Sunday, and Stefanski said he is "improving."

Sanders, drafted in the fifth round in April after a now-infamous fall, debuted in Week 11 against the Baltimore Ravens after Gabriel went down. He completed just 4 of 16 passes for 47 yards, an interception and a 13.5 passer rating.
