NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Wide receiver Brandin Cooks’ second stint in New Orleans is reportedly over.

Cooks has been waived by New Orleans, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

Rapoport says that Cooks was a possible trade target before the deadline, but a deal with another team never materialized.

Rapoport says the decision was mutual, and the wide receiver now heads to waivers.
