There are two teams standing in the way of the matchup many high school football followers in Michigan have been anticipating ever since the state playoff matchups were announced.

When the pairings came out, No. 1 Detroit Cass Tech and No. 2 Detroit Catholic Central were on the opposite side of the bracket in Division 1 this year after meeting in the semifinals last year.
