A police investigation is underway after a man was stabbed at a popular convenience store on Long Island.
Emergency crews in Mastic Beach responded to the Handy Pantry on the corner of Neighborhood and Mastic Roads for reports of a stabbing around 2:50 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, a Suffolk County Police spokesperson told Daily Voice.
A 911 caller told dispatchers that a man had been stabbed in the hand, police said. The victim was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
It was not immediately clear what sparked the stabbing or whether the victim and attacker knew each other. No arrests had been made as of Wednesday, Nov. 19.
Daily Voice has reached out to Handy Pantry for comment.
