Former Maine gubernatorial candidate Eliot Cutler, who previously served jail time for possessing child sexual abuse material, is once again facing legal trouble. According to a report from the Ellsworth American , Cutler is accused of violating multiple conditions of his probation by viewing sexually explicit material online and using electronic devices that were not being monitored as required.

Cutler, 79, pleaded guilty in 2023 to four felony counts of possessing child pornography. He served roughly eight months behind bars and received an early release for good behavior. Under the terms of his sentence, he is required to complete six years of probation. He is currently about one-third of the way through that term, the paper reported.
