HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Hardin County Fire Department is urging residents not to start any burns after they battled three serious structure fires in less than 24 hours.
District 3 of the Hardin County Fire Department reported that two of the fires were “total losses,” but firefighters were able to save one structure, a vehicle and a golf cart.
“These homes have burned to the ground despite every resource we have due to outside burning and the cleaning of leaves,” a District 3 Facebook post said.
The fire department is pleading with residents to refrain from any burning until the area gets “a significant” amount of rainfall.
“You have to have a permit to burn, yes, but we are asking you not to burn until we get some rain! Conditions are too dry and the wind is too high, small
