JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WAVE) - A Jeffersonville man was arrested for driving while impaired with a one-month-old infant in the vehicle, a spokesperson for the Indiana State Police said.
An ISP trooper pulled over 33-year-old Garrett Smeloksy around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12 for speeding and failing to yield to emergency vehicles working a crash, a violation of Indiana’s “Move Over” law.
During the stop, ISP said Smelosky allegedly displayed signs of being intoxicated and a search warrant was obtained for a blood sample. There was a one-month-old infant in the back seat of the vehicle who was released, unharmed, to a family member.
