The Kerala Police on Wednesday registered a case under the provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, or UAPA against a woman and her live-in partner for allegedly influencing the woman's 16-year-old son to join the banned terrorist outfit ISIS. The woman, however, has denied all the allegations and has claimed that it was a conspiracy by her estranged husband and his family as part of a marital dispute.

The incident came to light on Wednesday, after the boy’s uncle took him to the police station and filed a complaint against his sister-in-law. The boy was living with his mother and her partner in the United Kingdom (UK), where his mother was working as a nurse.
