Five students of a private university have been arrested for allegedly ransacking a cafe in the Misrod area of Bhopal late Tuesday night, police said on Wednesday. CCTV footage of the incident, showing a group of masked men armed with swords and sticks storming the establishment, has since gone viral on social media.
The video shows attackers smashing interiors and striking cafe employees; one staffer was reportedly hit with a sword and a customer was injured while trying to flee. A panic-stricken couple abandoned their meal and escaped amid the chaos, witnesses told police.
