An A-road in Devon has been closed in both directions due to an overturned gritter.

Reports of the incident on the A382 in Moretonhampstead first came in at around 4pm today (November 19).

Traffic is reportedly coping well in the area.

It is not yet clear whether anyone has been injured as a result.

Roads and traffic monitoring website, Inrix, says: "A382 in both directions blocked due to overturned gritter from Pepperdon Hall Lane (Moretonhampstead) to Knowle Road (Lustleigh). Traffic is coping well."
