A major road in Devon has reopened following a crash.

The A3052 was shut in both directions this afternoon at Farringdon, with queues between the turn off and Greendale Business Park.

Traffic monitor Inrix reported: "A3052 Sidmouth Road in both directions closed, queueing traffic due to accident from Farringdon turn off to Greendale Business Park turn off."

There were long delays in the area, with traffic backed up to Clyst St Mary. It comes after an earlier crash at Clyst St Mary, on Exmouth Road .

The road had reopened by 6pm, Inrix later reported.
