PUTNAM COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Garth Anthony Mariani, of Hurricane, has been charged following a domestic incident at a residence on Oakbridge Drive in Putnam County on November 15, 2025.

Authorities say the incident involved a firearm and suspected methamphetamine.

According to the criminal complaint, deputies were dispatched after a 911 caller reported that a male was threatening her with a gun and had just entered the kitchen.

The caller indicated she could not speak freely because the suspect might notice the call and destroy her phone.

Deputies arrived at the home and made contact with Mariani outside. He was secured without incident. Inside the residence, officers found the caller visibly shaken and tearful.

She reported that an argument had occurred over approximately $100,000
