Calhoun Community College is ready to celebrate an enrollment milestone.

The two-year North Alabama school announced it now has more than 10,000 students enrolled, the first time it’s passed that mark in more than a decade. Leaders of the state’s largest community college plan on having a celebration to mark the occasion.

“This 10,000-student milestone reflects more than numbers,” Kassie Mathis, Vice President of Student Services, said. “It shows how connected students feel to Calhoun. They choose to be here because of a supportive community, programs that challenge them, and services that celebrate their accomplishments. With new facilities and continued growth, Calhoun is ready for the next chapter.”
