CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Repair and replacement of the elevators in the Harrison County Courthouse is currently underway, according to officials.

While crews from Schindler Elevator Co. are working to replace one elevator, company representatives are also working to troubleshoot the issues that have caused the other elevator to be out of order intermittently.

When asked when crews will be in the courthouse conducting repair and replacement, County Administrator Laura Pysz-Laulis said crews “better” be working “all day, every day during the week when [the courthouse is] open.”

Work on the elevators began Monday when crews first hauled their equipment to what officials call “the penthouse” of the Harrison County Courthouse, which is a small room housing the elevator motors and electrical equip
