ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — An 18-year-old was arrested after he allegedly threatened a Carroll County high school, according to the sheriff’s office.

Leland Sprewell, of Bowden, faces a felony charge of terroristic threats against Carrollton’s Mt. Zion High School. He was booked into the Carroll County Jail.

The sheriff’s office said the investigation began when a juvenile called the Carroll County 911 administrative line. The juvenile said they were from Grand Rapids, Colorado, but gave a name and phone number that didn’t match the caller ID.

Investigators found that one number was registered to a TextNow account, a free phone service provider, which led investigators to an IP address and a location in Fruita, Colorado.
