It’s officially prime time 2.0.
Cleveland Browns rookie Shedeur Sanders will make his first NFL start Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders, head coach Kevin Stefanski said Wednesday.
That’s because starting quarterback Dillon Gabriel remains in concussion protocol.
“I’m doing everything I need to [do] to prepare, to be the best version of myself as possible,” Sanders said. “With the circumstances, everything will be sped up, and that’s great. I like pressure in life. I’m just excited for everything. I feel like I’m the guy. I know I’m the guy.”
Sanders, the high-profile son of Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders, struggled in his NFL debut last weekend when he replaced Gabriel in the second half of Cleveland’s 23-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
