MGM + is going through some changes abroad.
Michael Wright has become global head of MGM+ , overseeing both U.S. and international operations. It comes as Josh McIvor, who was global general manager of the streamer, is exiting.
McIvor, who was promoted to that role in 2023 , joined Amazon in 2013 and previously led Prime Video’s international expansion strategy, focusing on local content in South-East Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
In a memo seen by Deadline, McIvor said that he was going to “take a break and spend more time being a parent” and “pursuing some interests that don’t stream”.
As such, Wright, who joined the company in 2017, will oversee all operations and bring its U.S. and international programming and marketing teams together.
