TOPEKA ( KSNT ) – Part of a national historic site in Topeka is damaged after the driver of a stolen vehicle crashed into it.

Kimberly Qualls with the Topeka Police Department said an officer on patrol spotted a possible stolen vehicle around 1:10 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9 in the 1500 block of Southeast Monroe Avenue. The officer tried to pull the vehicle over, but it sped off at a high rate of speed.
