Ramban, Nov 19: The Jammu and Kashmir government has sanctioned projects worth Rs 14.99 Cr for landslide risk mitigation across Doda, Ramban, Kathua and Kishtwar districts under the Landslide Risk Mitigation Programme (LRMP). The approval, granted by the Chief Minister, was issued through Government Order DMRRR/ER/271/2025 dated November 18, 2025 by the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (DMRRR).
The projects target chronic landslide-prone sites and will be executed as per District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) norms.
In Doda, Rs 130.01 lakh have been allocated for stabilisation of the slip on the DTL road (Km 2nd RD 550–650), including construction of crated walls, laying of steel wire grid and meso geo-composite and restoration of damage
