FORSYTH, Ga. — A Forsyth man plead guilty on Tuesday for trying to sex traffic a child who he met while volunteering at a local church, according to a press release from the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office.
"Today a monster was taken off the streets of Georgia," the DA's Office said in a Facebook post.
They say Kelly Garrett Ivey of Forsyth was sentenced to life in prison plus 50 years for his crimes.
According to the District Attorney's Office, they say Ivey met the child at church and then befriend the them through social media, getting pictures of the child which he used to solicit child molesters.
