HOUSTON — A United Airlines flight bound for Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) had to return to the gate and deplane in Houston after it made contact with another plane while preparing to taxi.
According to a statement from a United Airlines spokesperson, Flight 544 was preparing to taxi at Houston's George Bush International Airport (IAH) when it made contact with the wing of Flight 2451, which "had stopped after just pushing back from the gate."
No injuries were reported. United says both planes returned to the gate and passengers deplaned normally.
"We arranged for new aircraft to take customers to their destination," the United spokesperson added.
United added that Flight 544 had 101 passengers aboard, plus six crew members. Flight 2451, which was heading to Orlando,
