BERKELEY — A 19-year-old UC Berkeley student rushed to a hospital last week after being taken unresponsive from a fraternity has died, police said Wednesday.
Authorities did not identify the person immediately. The incident happened last Friday.

Emergency crews responded about 11:25 p.m. to the fraternity in the 2400 block of Prospect Street for a report of a person who was unconscious who may have drowned, police said. Fire crews transported the student to a hospital, where he initially was listed in critical condition.
Authorities have not released any other details of what may have happened.
