Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream voluntarily recalled a batch of its Passion Fruit Dreamsicle ice cream bars because they may contain undeclared wheat and soy, according to the company.
The ice cream brand announced the recall on Monday, Nov. 17, according to a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) notice published on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
The undeclared wheat and soy in the affected ice cream bars could cause "serious or life-threatening allergic reactions" if consumed by those with allergies or severe sensitivities to one or both allergens, according to the notice.
As of Nov. 18, no illnesses or injuries have been reported in relation to the recall.
