EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The Evansville Fire Department announced they have a new detection dog.
Officials say “Indie” is a two-year-old black Lab who originally trained to become a guide dog, but was better suited for ignitable liquid detection work.
They say Indie went through six months of special training, and she is ready to work for the community with her handler Investigator Patrick Moore.
If you see Indie at an EFD station or community event, authorities say feel free to come say hello.
Welcome to EFD, Indie!
