A mistake in this year’s tax bill overstated the tax rate for Santa Cruz Elementary District #28, and residents who overpaid will be refunded or credited in their next installment.
The error was caught in late October, after bills had been sent to district property owners. On Tuesday County Treasurer Alejandro Paz and other county officials attended the Little Red School’s governing board meeting to explain how the error occurred and what will be done to remedy it. ×
