Complaints about blocked views of Lake Ontario on public and private lands due to overgrown shrubs and other vegetation have Port Dalhousie councillors asking for a plan of action from the city.

Councillors Marty Mako and Bruce Williamson requested staff prepare a waterfront management plan that addresses vista views next to private properties and public lands, including along the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail and Martindale Pond.

They asked the report be presented to council by the end of March and include costs and a funding source so work to clear sight lines can begin in 2026.
