FOXBORO — Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has made advancements in various parts of his game during a second-year leap, but the most impressive has been his improved accuracy.
Maye currently ranks first in completion percentage, completion percentage over expected and PFF’s adjusted completion percentage, which removes drops, spikes and throwaways.

Head coach Mike Vrabel was asked if that’s innate or something that Maye has worked on throughout the season.
“I think probably a little bit of both. I think that [offensive coordinator] Josh [McDaniels] and [quarterbacks coach] Ashton [Grant] have tried to work hard on that. I also think Drake is talented,” Vrabel said.
He used an analogy, comparing Maye to Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Greg Maddux, widely regarded as one
