It’s a particularly busy week for Steelers quarterbacks.
You know Rodgers and Rudolph, but Dasher and Dancer have a place in preparation for the Bears, too. Will Howard might not be the fleetest of foot, but John Rhys Plumlee certainly is, which is why the Steelers called him in to join their rookie in replicating Chicago quarterback Caleb Williams on the scout team for the next few days.
And you may recall Plumlee as the undrafted free agent last year out of Central Florida, the one who went through training camp as a quarterback/receiver/returner. He’s bounced around plenty since not making the team, stints including Jacksonville and Seattle, but Wednesday’s practice was his first time playing his original position in a year or so — and he had a blast doing his best to emulate the No.
