MUSKEGON, MI – A man accused of killing two women in the same day had threatened to kill one of them years prior and was sentenced to prison for the violent attack, court records show.
Deangelo Lonell Aubrey, 42, was arraigned Wednesday, Nov. 19, in Muskegon County District Court on two counts of open murder.
Aubrey is accused of killing Shelenthia Willis and Sasha Spears after the women’s bodies were discovered Monday, Nov. 17, by Muskegon Heights police.
He had dated each woman at different times, police said.
Aubrey was paroled from a Michigan prison about eight months before the alleged killings, records show.
The prison sentence stems from an assault on May 26, 2020.
Aubrey and Willis were dating for about five years and had just broken up in 2020, Muskegon Heights police wrote
