MAZEPPA — As of Tuesday, the Rev. Ricky Phillips and rapper Nicki Minaj share at least one thing in common.

The pastor of Mazeppa Union United Church of Christ and St. John’s United Church of Christ in Winfield and the Grammy-nominated Trinidadian-born star have both addressed the United Nations about the persecution of Christians around the world.
