NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A federal judge sentenced Daniel Callihan, 38, to two additional consecutive life sentences. He was convicted of killing a Loranger mother and her daughter.
The Wednesday sentencing adds to two life sentences issued in Jackson, Mississippi and Tangipahoa Parish, bringing his total to six consecutive life sentences.
Callihan received two consecutive life sentences for stabbing Callie 50 times and for kidnapping 4-year-old Erin and her sister. He took them to Jackson, Mississippi, where he suffocated Erin.
In court, the victims’ sister and aunt described Callie as a fighter who “fought until her last breath,” and remembered Erin as a sassy girl who loved her stuffed elephant, Ellie.
