NEW ORLEANS — received two additional two additional consecutive life sentences in federal court on Wednesday. The new penalties stem from charges that include kidnapping resulting in death and transporting a minor across state lines for sexual activity.
The federal punishment adds to a number of life sentences Callihan has received across multiple states.
In September, Callihan pleaded guilty in Tangipahoa Parish to two counts of first-degree murder for the killings of Callie Brunett and her 4-year-old daughter, Erin. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. A state judge ruled he must first serve that sentence in Louisiana, meaning he will spend the rest of his life at Angola Penitentiary.
