NSW Liberal leader Mark Speakman is digging in his heels despite speculation of a leadership spill as soon as today, declaring no colleague has approached him about a challenge.
Mr Speakman has fended off rumours about a challenge for weeks, with shadow attorney-general Alister Henskens and shadow health minister Kellie Sloane named as potential replacements.
Speaking to the 702 ABC Sydney on Thursday, Mr Speakman confirmed he met with MPs Chris Rath, Scott Farlow and James Wallace after they walked into his office following a Christmas function at NSW Parliament last night.
The Liberal leader said the trio would be "Kellie Sloane supporters" if the contest were against someone other than him.
But he said the three men left his office pledging their support to him.
